Do I actually need a reverse osmosis system?

If you live in a city with hard tap water, high nitrate levels, or concerns about PFAS, microplastics, or drug residues: yes. RO reliably removes all of that. In my 10-questions video I explain who really benefits and who is fine with a simpler activated carbon filter.

How do I clean my OsmoFresh system properly?

I use baking soda or citric acid (no detergent) on the external tank about once a month. Important: circulate or replace the water in the tank daily so no biofilm forms. The tank is not dishwasher-safe – always clean it by hand.

What do I do with my OsmoFresh system on vacation?

With the Fusion Pro one button press is enough thanks to the vacation mode. With the Quella Pro: remove all three filters, seal them airtight in plastic and store them in the fridge. Then press the lock and hold the 100° button – the entire remaining water drains from the tank.

Why does water slosh between the two tank halves?

That is intentional, not a defect. The tank is split in two – simply fill both sides evenly when refilling and don't top up later, so the ratio stays correct.

Does the Fusion series really reach 100 °C?

No – and that is communicated honestly. My first test unit still went to 98 °C; today the limit is 95 °C so OsmoFresh doesn't overpromise. Using a thermometer accurate to 0.3° I measured exactly 95 °C directly at the outlet. More than enough for tea, baby food or instant meals.

Why are TDS values higher on the Fusion than on the Quella Pro?

The Fusion series remineralizes about 40 % more strongly – values between 20 and 100 ppm are normal and intended (pH ~7, neutral). The TDS sensor sits between the membrane and the carafe, so it always measures the remineralized value. Only well above 100 ppm should the membrane be replaced; well below 20 ppm means the mineral filter is empty.

How do I change the filter on the Fusion Pro?

It really works one-handed in a few minutes: open the filter cover, turn the old filter clockwise to release, insert the new one, the display guides you through the rinse cycle. I show the complete process in a dedicated video – the link is in the experience block above on this page.

Is the OsmoFresh discount still valid in 2026?
